Hi Dan,
I finished your book and I must say it was very pleasant reading! There are actually a lot of insights that resonate with me.
Everyone has their own story of life and I like the quote “If I had a chance to do it over, I would do what I did but do it better”
I
learned a lot from your book and more importantly I realized that my life is not so bad after all. I must say I had tears in my eyes
on several occasions while reading the book – a lot of stories reminded me of my own life. -- E. Bastakova
Regrets they've had a few: Practical Wisdom from the Aged gave me a look at other people’s lives. It enabled me to take a look at
my own life. This book could be used as a source to learn from, to grow from and to benefit from. So many questions can be answered
from different perspectives. That is what makes this book unique. It gave the elderly a chance to share their knowledge/wisdom, in
a sense their own story. Reading it helps one to ponder their own lives and makes room for self growth. What not to do and what to
do. I truly enjoy this book and use it as a reference from time to time. It’s a book that could be read over and over.
I truly think
it is an amazing book. It is not just an easy read because there was so much heart, wisdom and thought put into it. I am so glad that
you wrote this book. When I am feeling down I refer to it as a put me up and it puts me in check to see that my life really isn’t
all that bad. I can change things to make it better or just feed into the "poor me" to make it worse. -- C. Tait
This book is inspiring, well written, insightful, and smart. Thank you Dan for sharing some of the "hidden gems " of wisdom that help
us all have fewer regrets in life. A must read for all ages! Learn how to have a rich and rewarding life using the knowledge and insight
from Dan's new book. -- S. Carroll
Bravo on a great piece of writing! Now when it comes to the part that struck me the most, I liked the chapter that gave advice to
young people and the Top Ten Pieces of Advice you wrote on page 105. This kind of information is invaluable to the youth. They need
to hear this kind of information over and over and I'll say over and over again because sometimes it takes a long time before it sticks
in their heads. You might want to tell school boards about your book because of the information it provides. If we don't learn from
the past, the future will never move in a better direction. -- R. Mollinga
As a recently widowed new immigrant, I found both compassion and encouragement in Dan Hare's writing which inspired me to proceed
with voluntary work and cultural interests. I now look forward to happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead. – J. Merrington
